When seeking certification to ISO 30401 it is important to ensure that the auditor(s) are themselves accredited to do the audit.  Just as one would not want to buy a pre-owned car that has not been inspected and certified to be in good working order, or hire an engineering firm that was not chartered or licensed, or to get a degree from a university that has not been accredited, one should be wary of those offering to audit an organisation without producing evidence that they themselves were certified to provide such a service.

One should always make sure that one is getting what one is paying for.
